As the title indicates, the 2023 Tata Nexon is here with major updates, also called, the Nexon facelift. The design department at Tata Motors did an impressive job of making tweaks inside and outside. Despite all these, ever since the inception of the Tata Nexon, this subcompact crossover SUV has been among the bestselling Tata cars in the country.
The homegrown sub-four-metre SUV has also received a few features in terms of comfort and infotainment. Since it is a facelift, it continues to be based on the same platform. Moreover, like its predecessor, the Nexon facelift is available in both petrol and diesel. It is also worth mentioning that the 2023 variant is the second facelifted version, whereas the first facelift was launched in 2020.
And, for your reference, Tata Motors has de-listed the pre-facelift iteration from its website. So, below are a few things that you should know about the Nexon facelift.
2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Specifications
Before talking about the figures of the Tata Nexon, you should know that this new iteration is based on Tata’s in-house designed X1 platform that underpins the Tata Tiago and Tigor. Since the 2023 Tata Nexon is a facelifted (updated) version, it will be technically the same as the pre-facelift versions.
As far as the figures are concerned, the indigenous carmaker offers the sub-four-metre SUV in petrol and diesel. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Revotron turbocharged engine, which is tuned to churn out 118 bhp at 5500 rpm and 170 Nm of peak torque at 4000 rpm. This petrol version can be had with a five-speed/six-speed manual, a six-speed AMT, and a seven-speed DCA (also called DCT) unit.

On the other hand, the diesel version is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged Revotorq engine which can pump out 113 bhp at 3750 rpm and 260 Nm of peak torque at 2750 rpm. The diesel iteration is mated to a six-speed manual and an optional six-speed AMT gearbox.
Apart from the available powertrains, the Tata cars is engineered by keeping the conditions of Indian roads in mind. It stands on an independent, lower wishbone McPherson Strut with a coil spring at the front and a semi-independent, open profile twist beam with a stabiliser bar and a coil spring with a shock absorber at the rear. With this suspension setup, the 2023 Nexon can soak the undulations and sail through the bumps from potholes with ease. However, it is always recommending to take a test drive as real-world driving experience can vary from person to person.
At the same time, the Tata Nexon continues to have the same disc-drum setup, which is standard for all the variants. The tyre profile, however, can be different but with the standard 16-inch rims. That said, some variants will have a 195/60 R16, while the higher variants will have a 215/60 R16.

2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Exterior
This time, the 2023 Tata Nexon underwent a major revamp inside and outside. The imposing yet futuristic appearance gives an elevated sense of design. The front fascia is more upright and has an in-your-face nose.
Below the bonnet, you will get a grille with horizontal slats with a Tata logo at the centre, flanked by sleek sequential LED DRLs. As seen on new-age cars, the 2023 Nexon also follows the split lights setup at the front. That said, the lower section of the front bumper incorporates a bi-functional full LED lamp.
As for the rear end, the Nexon facelift has a continuous LED tail light that covers the width of the car. The tail light is flanking by Y-shaped lights. And, at the centre of the tailgate, you will see the Tata logo as well as ‘Nexon’ badging. The lower section of the rear bumper incorporates black cladding as well as vertically-placed reflectors.
Further, the side profile is unchanged. However, it has received a new set of rims.
All-in-all, the silhouette is retain, so it won’t be quite difficult to identify the car.
2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Interior
From the inside, the Nexon facelift looks more premium than before. Please note that the features, as well as design elements mentioned in this blog, are of the top-most variant only. Once you ingress, the Tata Nexon facelift will welcome you with a two-spoke leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with an illuminated ‘T’ logo. The design of the steering wheel might remind you of a new-age Range Rover or Land Rover. Further, the fully digital instrument cluster and a floating 10.25-inch Harman-sourced touchscreen infotainment unit (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) make the interior look more plush. And, below the touchscreen display, you will get a/c vents, followed by the soft-touch HVAC panel at the centre on the lowest section of the cockpit. Apart from that, there is a centre console, which has a transmission unit, a rotary dial for drive mode selection, a wireless charging tray, and a centre armrest with storage.
This sub-4m crossover SUV also offers a three-tone dashboard with a dual-tone leatherette upholstery. You will also find some perforated front seats with ventilation function (cooling only), which is best for a tropical country like ours. It is also equip with a cooled glove box, which has a first-in-segment integrated cup holder inside the glove box. It also has rear a/c vents, which is, however, common, nowadays. Speaking of the rear, you also get a rear armrest with cupholders. It, however, misses out on a rear centre headrest.
As for storage, this Tata cars has an adequate boot space, rated at 382 litres.
2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Features
This new iteration has a long list of features. It has an auto HVAC, a tyre pressure monitoring system, child-seat anchorages, electric anti-glare mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, etc. The power windows, electric ORVMs, rain-sensing wipers, wipers (front and rear), and LED lights.
It has LED DRLs, LED headlights, LED tail lamps, and automatic headlights. On the safety front, the Nexon facelift offers ABS, EBD, ESP, hill-hold control, traction control, dual airbags and optional six airbags, to name a few.
Given the Nexon facelift price, especially of the top-most variant, which is at Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom), it is well equip.
2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Prices and Variants
The homegrown car manufacturer offers the 2023 Nexon facelift in four broad trims: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless. These trims make a total of fifteen variants.
As for the Tata Nexon price, it starts at Rs 8.10 lakh for the base variant, the Smart Petrol MT, and goes up to Rs 13 lakh for the top-most variant, the Creative Diesel AMT.
