The supervision of work is the process of ensuring that workers are able to safely and effectively carry out their duties. It involves assessing risks, identifying hazards and providing training and resources to mitigate these risks. Supervisors must also be able to communicate effectively with workers and provide feedback on their performance. It is the job of an occupational work supervisor to ensure that all employees are working safely and effectively. This includes monitoring employee performance, providing feedback and coaching, and enforcing company policies. An occupational work supervisor must also have a thorough knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
