OPPO has officially launched the Reno15 Series in India, strengthening its presence in the mid-premium and premium smartphone segments. The new lineup includes three models: the Reno15 Pro 5G, the Reno15 Pro Mini 5G, and the Reno15 5G. With a strong focus on design, imaging, and performance, the Reno15 series targets users looking for high-end features without stepping into ultra-premium pricing.
The launch comes at a time when India’s smartphone market is steadily moving up the value chain. According to OPPO, India recorded its highest quarterly smartphone shipments in five years during Q3 2025, with 48 million units shipped, marking a 4.3 percent year-on-year growth. This growth was largely driven by premium and mid-premium devices, while demand in the entry-level segment softened.
“Consumers today are no longer willing to compromise. They’re willing to invest if they see true value and innovation in the device,” said Goldee Patnaik, Head of Brand Communications at OPPO India, speaking to ET Online.
A first for the Reno lineup: Pro Mini model
One of the biggest highlights of the Reno15 series is the introduction of OPPO’s first-ever Pro Mini smartphone under the Reno branding. The Reno15 Pro Mini 5G brings flagship-like features in a compact form factor, a move OPPO says is directly influenced by user feedback.
According to the company, compact smartphones are gaining renewed interest due to better ergonomics and ease of use. With Reno positioned as a travel-friendly AI camera phone, OPPO believes a smaller, lighter device makes photography and content creation more comfortable and enjoyable.
This strategy also aligns with broader market trends. OPPO noted that the mid-premium category, roughly priced between Rs 30,000 and Rs 45,000, grew 10.7 percent year-on-year, indicating increasing acceptance of feature-rich smartphones that offer strong cameras, performance, and overall experience.
OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G: Specifications and features
Sitting at the top of the lineup is the OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G. The smartphone features a large 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even under bright sunlight.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. It houses a massive 6,500mAh battery that supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. The phone runs on ColorOS 16 and comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, offering strong protection against dust and water.
Camera performance remains the core focus of the Reno series. The Reno15 Pro 5G features a 200MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it sports a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. For video creators, the phone supports 4K HDR video recording at up to 60fps across all cameras, along with improved stabilisation and seamless camera switching.
Availability in India
The OPPO Reno15 series is now available in India through OPPO’s official website, major online platforms, and offline retail stores. Pricing and launch offers vary by model and storage configuration, with additional bank and exchange offers expected during the initial sale period.
With the addition of a Pro Mini variant and a strong focus on camera and battery performance, the Reno15 series aims to appeal to users looking for a balanced mix of innovation, design, and everyday usability.
