Toyota has officially unveiled the Urban Cruiser Ebella, marking its entry into the electric SUV segment in India. This is Toyota’s first all-electric SUV for the Indian market and is positioned as a practical yet feature-rich EV for urban and highway use.

Based on the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara platform, the Urban Cruiser Ebella gets several Toyota-specific design and feature updates. The SUV is expected to be launched in the coming weeks, with pre-bookings already open at ₹25,000.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella Range and Battery Details

One of the highlights of the Urban Cruiser Ebella is its claimed driving range of up to 543 km on a single charge. Toyota is offering the electric SUV with an 8-year battery warranty, along with a 60 percent buyback assurance. Buyers can also opt for Toyota’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, which is expected to reduce upfront ownership costs.

Expected Price in India

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella is expected to be priced between ₹19 lakh and ₹24 lakh (ex-showroom). The final pricing will depend on the variant and battery configuration selected.

Variants on Offer

Toyota will offer the Urban Cruiser Ebella in three variants:

  • E1

  • E2

  • E3

Each variant is designed to cater to different buyer needs, ranging from value-focused customers to those looking for premium features.

Features and Equipment

The base E1 variant comes well-equipped, making it a strong entry-level option in the electric SUV segment.

The E2 mid-spec variant adds convenience features such as a wireless mobile charger, a reverse parking camera, and a larger battery pack that delivers improved power and performance.

The E3 top-spec variant focuses on comfort and safety. It offers premium additions including ventilated and power-adjustable seats, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a panoramic sunroof.

Colour Options

The Urban Cruiser Ebella will be available in a total of nine colour options. Buyers can choose from five single-tone shades and four dual-tone combinations with a black roof.

Single-tone colours:
Sportin Red, Cafe White, Silver, Gaming Grey, Bluish Black

Dual-tone options:
All dual-tone variants feature a black roof, while Land Breeze Green will be available exclusively in a dual-tone finish.
